Local Lower Hutt movers who know the valley

Lower Hutt has a bit of everything. Flat, easy streets around the CBD, Epuni and Waterloo, and steep driveways and long flights of steps in the hill suburbs like Kelson, Belmont, Normandale and Maungaraki. We ask about stairs, access and parking up front so the right number of movers turn up and the job runs to time.

Because we are local, we are not charging you to cross the region to reach you. Short moves within the Hutt, moves out to Wellington city, and one-off pick-ups of furniture or appliances are all everyday work for us.

Are you actually based in Lower Hutt?

Yes. 1Van is a Lower Hutt business, so Hutt Valley moves are local jobs for us, not a long drive from across the region.

Can you handle houses with lots of steps?

Yes. Tell us about stairs, narrow access and how far the van can park from the door in the quote form, and we will plan the crew around it.

Do you move from Lower Hutt to Wellington city?

Yes. Moves between the Hutt and Wellington city are some of the most common jobs we do, along with moves up to Porirua and out to Kapiti.

Can you move just one or two items?

Yes. Single items and small loads are welcome, from furniture and appliances to Trade Me and Marketplace pick-ups.

We had such a great experience with 1Van Movers! They were incredibly fast, friendly and professional. We needed furniture delivered to two different addresses, and they handled everything so efficiently and without any issues.

We only contacted them the day before we needed to move, so we really appreciated that they were able to fit us in at such short notice. The whole move was made so much easier thanks to the team. They worked quickly, were helpful throughout and took great care with everything.

We’re very grateful for their help and would definitely use 1Van again in the future. Highly recommend!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Such great service, particularly as this became urgent after another mover cancelled. They moved a heavy item across the city. Pickup and delivery times exactly as promised, with a helpful and capable team. Reasonably priced and exceptional service at short notice.
